18 Aug 2009 - 5 Comments
I have collected 10 jQuery that will make your life easier. Some of them are new, and create really cool effects. Some of them are just small and simple plugins but when it comes to usability, user friendliness, they are extremely useful.

  • jMp3 | Demo

jMP3 (javaScript MP3 player) is an easy way make any MP3 playable directly on most any web site (to those with Flash & javaScript enabled), using the sleek Flash Single MP3 Player & the fantabulous jQuery.
  • jQuery AutoTab | Demo

Autotab is a jQuery plugin that provides auto-tabbing and filtering on text fields in a form. Once the maximum number of characters has been reached within a defined text fields, the focus is automatically set to the defined target of the element.
  • autoResizer | Demo

The textarea will expand when required until the limit is reached, at which time it brings back the scrollbar.
  • jcUpload | Demo

This is basic upload example with regular jcUpload plugin- It demonstrates simple fotogallery. When you add files they are immediately uploaded to server which resizes image to small thumbnail. When all files are uploaded, application refreshes gallery preview below via ajax.
  • rf.Sparks | Demo

The plugin is very versatile, you can create as many instances with as many images and/or speeds as you want. Please note: with large numbers of sparks you may notice a significant performance hit.
  • In field Labels jQuery Plugins | Demo

This is a simple plugin that turns properly formatted HTML forms into forms with in-field label support. Labels fade when the field is focussed and disappear when text entry begins. Clearing a field and leaving brings back the label.
  • Truncatable | Demo

I have written a few jQuery plugins of my own, which I would now like to share with you. The first in the series is called ‘truncatable‘. Simply put truncatable is a lightweight truncation plugin for jQuery. Designed for users who want to be able to hide and expand text on a page. This plugin is very SEO friendly, and ideal for environments where it is not possible to use PHP.
  • jQuery Link Nudge | Demo

Just recently Drew Douglass premiered a jQuery plugin that aimed at producing the same type of effect. I’ve taken some time to put together my own version of the jQuery nudging plugin.
  • Font Effect | Demo

Font effect is a jQuery plugin that add some effect to html text. The available effects are (for now) Outline, Shadow, Gradient and Mirror
  • NotesForLightBox | Demo

NotesForLightBox is a simple, unobtrusive script used to overlay images on the current page. It's a snap to setup and works on all modern browsers.

I hope you all love these plugins! :)
