Information is beautiful, here we have an infographic that visualize the number of lines of codes in popular software, operating systems and websites.
Based on that infographic, healthcare.gov websites 100 millions line of codes, that's crazy! That makes me wonder, is that necessary? That's 5-6 times of Macintosh OSX Tiger. Could it be poor coding practices? Or, it's simply because hardwares are too powerful nowadays, programmers don't bother optimising theirs code.
