Social Media is so important nowadays, all the websites have it integrated as one of the way to promote its content to everyone. We have twitter, facebook, reddit, pinterest and many more that could drive traffic to your website. Of course, your content has to be good as well.

I used to implement all these widgets one by one (the one in queness), and hardcoded to the page, but now, we have javascript plugins that will save heaps of your time from doing it. Just have to call the plugins, a few configurations and your website is equipped with social media widgets. Here, we have a few javascript plugins and also a few online website services such as ShareThis and AddThis that will give you even more sharing tools.

  • Sharre Sharrre is a jQuery plugin that allows you to create nice widgets sharing for Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus (with PHP script) and more.
  • Socialite.js Socialite provides a very easy way to implement and activate a plethora of social sharing buttons — any time you wish.
  • Social Media Share jsShare is a jquery plugin that helps you easily share your contents with popular social media applications easily, all social media like facebook, twitter provide APIs for applications to share contents from other applications.
  • Tweet It A tweeting widget for visitors to your blog or website
  • Koottam Social jQuery Plugin A simple, powerful and elegant Social jQuery Plugin to display your social links. The plugin can be highly customized through 10+ options.
  • jQuery Lifestream Show a stream of your online activity
  • So So Social The So So Social plug-in uses jQuery and YQL (Yahoo Query Language) to gather RSS feeds from your various social networks and sorts them into an "activity feed". It basically creates a news feed out of your social networking activity.
  • Pinterest Pinit I made this plugin and it allows us to pin a specific image easily.

Excellent article on social tools. I recommend you to add social login in the list as well. I am seeing few startups like LoginRadius providing login service to other websites; it's very useful to increase sign-ups!

socialite.js looks nice and simple.
Socialbar looks like an overkill
I personally use Sexy Bookmarks on my site -
I love the animation on it. Plus it contains all the major social networks.
