Introduction

Typography is the art and techniques of arranging type, type design, and modifying type glyphs. Type glyphs are created and modified using a variety of illustration techniques. The arrangement of type involves the selection of typefaces, point size, line length, leading (line spacing), adjusting the spaces between groups of letters (tracking) and adjusting the space between pairs of letters (kerning). - Wikipedia - Typography

Typography has been playing an important role in different kind of mediums such as publishing, packaging, television. It's the way to present information to our audiences in text form.

A good typography can be pleasing to look at and easy to read. Now, I have collected 20 websites with beautiful typography, I believe this will be a good inspiration for all of us. Enjoy!

Well I learned something today. If you take a basic font and make it huge with a nice color, it means your website has "beautiful typography"... yeah I think not.

Sorry, but not sure how you came up with your list. One Share Investments has foot marks instead of true apostrophes in body copy, and has floating subheads, both examples of poor typography, plus the general relative text sizings of subheads is unharmonious. NOT a good example at all, and it's the first one I've looked at from your list.

Well, Harry Roberts uses justified text on a narrow measure, creating huge rivers of white space in the text. Other sites again fail to use true apostrophes, including, I am disappointed to say, for a beautiful web.

I think you need to use a more critical eye in naming websites with beautiful typography, because many of these fail in the basics.

I think a more accurate title would have been "20 websites with BIG typography". There are a lot of sites out there with better type than these.

If I'm totally honest, my site doesn't use great typography. Benek is right, so many more sites with much more going on. I make more of a typographical attempt with my portfolio site, but iamharryroberts.com isn't anything special, in my opinion.

Really? This is beautiful typography, huh? None of these sites (out of the few with enough promise for me to click on) look bad or anything, but I'm just not seeing what makes the typography stand out as 'beautiful'. Maybe next time you could add a paragraph or about what you find striking about each example. Thanks for sharing.
