CSS 3D Transforms have been a famous topic in web development industry. Tutorials, experimental demos and real life applications are almost everywhere! Even though it's only supported by latest webkit engine browsers (Chrome and Safari), the excitement and the coolness that brought by CSS 3D transform is simply irresistible!

Recently I was assigned with a frontend R&D task as part of the process to revamp our company website. We have decided to use responsive layout because based on a few information/facts:

HTML5 has been a really hot topic in web development. With the support of most modern browsers available (Safari, chrome, firefox, IE10 and mobile devices), even though the specification has not fully completed yet, but many people have already adopted it as the main technology for all the web development projects. The evolution of Javascript has brought a lot of fanciness to the Internet. It enhances websites in a way that we couldn't have thought it's plausible few years ago. In this post, we have a list of experiments that used WebGL (Web-based Graphic Library) - another widely spread technology used in web development to generate interactive 3D graphic within any compatible browser. However, sad enough, most of our modern browsers can't really render it well and you will need a rather powerful computer to run it as well.

Recently, I have been quite interested with a new kind of web layout - dynamic and fluid layout. It cleverly fills in all the spaces and rearranges each items and display it nicely on browsers, and they usually come with slick animation too. Some of them even have advance filtering for different categories.

Just few weeks ago, I have resigned as a "full on" web developer (frontend, backend, server admin and misc) and moved on to become a pure frontend developer (yay)! It is a really exciting change, as you might know frontend developer role didn't exist few years ago. Thanks to the introduction of HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript framework, frontend development has to be separated from backend due to its complexity, and I think I'm trained to fit in that gap nicely.

Make sure you have the latest version of browser, preferably latest built of Safari or Chrome. Personally, I like GoogleBox and The Tribute to the Beatles, I think they both are really creative!

CSS3 has defnitely revolutionized web development industry. Even though not all the browsers supports all the features fully, it doesn't stop all the creative people to showing off what it can do and what they can do with it.
